We help individuals and families who have been impacted by special needs diagnoses live happier and healthier lives by providing inspirational support programs and resources that make a difference every day.  We accomplish our vision by:

-delivering powerful learning strategies for children through the use of customizable 1:1 variable data technologies across print and electronic platforms,

-providing customizable content that is filtered through the compassionate sensitivity required to reach families facing the challenges of special needs,

-and by providing a 1-800 crisis management /suicide hotline, open chat support on-line, open chat-support in social media for:  members of special needs families who are faced with emotional crisis that exceeds their psychological capabilities to manage effectively.  By saving a parent’s life, we save a child’s life.  By improving the quality of the parent’s life, we positively affect the child’s quality of life.

Founder's Story

Hopelights Magazine for children special needsMy daughter, Ashley, was diagnosed as PDDNOS (which is on the autistic spectrum) at 3 years of age. She is 14 years old now and has become my greatest teacher. I have spent the greater part of her life converting typical - regular education toys, magazines and coloring books to fit her special needs. I was blessed to learn special ways of communicating with her after many therapists in a variety of treatment programs that contributed to the vision of HOPELights™ a monthly activity magazine designed for children with special needs.   Many childhood diagnosis outside the spectrum of Autism fall within similar segmentation of classical learning challenges that autism presents.  For instance, in working with children that have Down syndrome, we have identified core similarities in reading comprehension and some expressive writing areas.  For children who have other cognitive delays in learning that struggle with core concepts, we have found that our members that have children with Cerebral Palsy, Fragile X, classic MR, sensory or other diagnosis sets also benefit from being exposed to new learning and self-confidence techniques.  We do not really focus on labels around here, we focus on the child.  We provide customized publications that inspire joy, self-confidence and if our members can gain strides in their academic growth areas, well that is all the better!

It is through this vision and mission that we found hope not only for ourselves, but for the rest of the world. HOPELights™ is a new combination of very traditional techniques that speak to the hearts and minds of those operating on a unique bandwidth. Our goal is to see smiles erupt from children coast to coast, country to country and from sea to shining sea. Nothing more, nothing less.

Dawn and Ashley Grosvenor HOPELights for children with special needsWe don't intend for our publications to reinvent the wheel, they are to be considered a supplement... an enjoyable one, to all of what you and your academic support teams are doing already for your child. I know in my heart that every life we touch will bring about the glow of hope, which in turn, will provide someone else some hope. There are just a few things I know after all these years and it is this: at the end of the day we have only a few things... our children, our word and a bucket of hope.  We actually begin HOPELights as a business, and the more we expanded and got to know our members our purpose became clear.

I do promise that we are here, everyday, and hearing all the words you say and all of those you don't.
We hear your child, with or without word articulation.
We hear the world and want to share some of the hope we have found.

HOPE.  Dream  INSPIRE.  Believe.

Please help me celebrate the joy of HOPELights™!
